How can I get a Medical Marijuana Recommendation online? How can I know if a provider is a scam artist? Where can I get a Cannabis ID card? Where can I get good Medical Weed? What is the best Marijuana for me? How can I know that my Medical Pot is high quality? How can I tell if Weed has chemicals and pesticides in it? How do I know my information is safe?   The following exercise was useful to reveal - case in point -  the nature of Marijuana in California in the age of the internet.   NUGGETS OF WISDOM? In our Marijuana in the City series, we included a section on the rules, regulations, legal providers of Medical Marijuana, etc, in the 30 largest cities in California.  When it came time to edit the final copy, we double checked the facts for accuracy and found some issues. Some of the facts had changed in a week or two, which illustrates the dynamic nature of MMJ in California.  We share here some nuggets or oxymorons, what have you." Eight years of legislation of one county was thrown out in court.  The rules were reset in the time it took to write up the article on that city. A police chief's second in command was busted for trafficking massive quantities of Marijuana... in a county with "zero" tolerance, might we add? Two competing proposals for marijuana dispensary and other issues became one overnight.  The author of one proposal jumped ships and overnight there was only one. Several of the "top internet" ranked services turned out to be illegal.    At the end of the day, the Internet is here to stay.  We "live" in this internet jungle, we best learn how to trek along the safe lovely paths through the bush and avoid misadventure into the alligator infested swamps, as it were. . Telehealth (medical services online) is on its way to be the primary way people interact with their doctors and healthcare providers.    How can I legally buy Medical Marijuana in California?  You only need a Rec. A rec or Recommendation is a note from a licensed medical doctor allows you to buy Marijuana from legal dispensaries, cooperatives, delivery services and clubs.   Click here for a legal online recommendation. You need to be a resident of California and have ID to prove it.  Getting a rec online cost less than $50. Going to a clinic in person or the county for a rec and ID usually costs a lot more. If someone is charging $25 or you can haggle over the price, these are RED flags, a full scam alert.    Here is a trick.  If you say, I am from Canada on holiday, can I get a recommendation? If they say yes, they are either lying or don't know.  Either way, it is a scam.   Medical Marijuana became legal in California almost 20 years ago under Proposition 215.  This legislation establishes the rules and regulations regarding use, possession, cultivation, caregivers, doctors, dispensaries and more.  To learn more click FAQ.   How can I qualify?   If you have pain, anxiety attacks, stress disorders, migraine, you'll probably qualify. These are conditions that are commonly recommended by Cannabis Doctors.  Quoting the actual law the MMJ rules of the Golden State are: As per Proposition 215: Patients in California diagnosed with one of the following medical conditions, are afforded legal protection under the California Medical Marijuana law: Anxiety Arthritis Cancer Chemotherapy Side Effects Chronic Pain Fibromyalgia Glaucoma HIV-AIDS Migraine Headaches Multiple Sclerosis Radiation Therapy Side Effects "And, any other chronic or persistent medical symptom that substantially limits the ability of the person to conduct one or more major life activities (as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) or, if not alleviated, may cause serious harm to the patient's safety or physical or mental health."   420EvaluationsOnline: We provide 420 evaluations for Medical Marijuana by licensed California Doctors.  The application process is 100% online. Click here to learn more.   How Can I know if a Provider is a Scam Artist? Do you need a weatherman to tell which way to wind blows?  If not, ask yourself, does services / website will look professional and legit?   Think about it.  A professional service of any kind should look smart, especially the Website.  If you want legal services, do the people you are dealing with sound legit?  Or do they move and talk like drug dealers from the hood?   Fake Pictures - While it is no crime to use pictures from across the web, using fake picture of their "doctor's" is simply fraud.  MMJ scammers usually have a picture of a fake doctor with lab coat and stethoscope.  The operator is almost always a clean young woman - who is obviously a model.  Just right click on any image in a website (using Chrome) and by searching you can find out if its fake, licensed or probably their own.    Testimonials -If there are a lot of testimonials - good, bad and so-so, the service is probably legit. Watch out for sites that have half a dozen perfect ratings or less. If you want to try a new business, just call them up and have a little chat. You can also google the phone number and see if it's a legit business. If there is no phone number provided, go elsewhere.   Google - Just G-search = "mmjcompanyname + scam" and select the last year of entries. Look as several query results before you decide.  Lousy customers can have problems with anyone.   Where can I get a Cannabis ID Card? Ask your MMJ recommending doctor for ID.  If they cannot help, you can get a Medical Marijuana ID Card here.   What is the best Marijuana for me? How can I select the right strain?  The beauty of the Cannabis Plant is that there is so much variety, just like people.  Strains come with a vast array of bouquets which indicate the nature of its volatile components, the terpenes.  Terpenes are medical and work synergistically in known and mystical ways to affect humans physically and psychologically.  Top growers supply a certificate of analysis from an accredited lab that specifies the THC and CBD content and also say's if it is mold and pesticide free.   You want to find out if the strain is a day or night weed, which is another way of saying GO with a glow or STOP in your tracks.   Most everyone has tried Pot at some point.  But we usually didn't really know what was in it.  I've smoked grass in several parts of the world and it's not even apples and oranges.  It's peas and watermelons.  I like mild strains that some veterans would call garbage.I've tried nice hash from god knows where and got dizzy from BC bud.    Words of Wisdom from a Non-Stoner? So at the end of the day, yours truly doesn't smoke recreationally, because I don't know what' in it.  You can pretty much tell though if it's really high THC by you in-the-know friend's.  So I know what I want, high CBD and other Cannabinoids, a bit of THC and plenty of bouquet (terpenes).  Call me a health nut if you will, but that's what the research suggests is best and that is what I enjoy.    You should find out if you like THC or not.  If you don't like THC and getting stoned, look for high CBD strains with low THC.  Consider trying balanced strains in moderation and see if they help you because, after all, THC is a very medicinal cannabinoid.   At the end of the day, once you establish the general type of marijuana (in reference to the certificate of analysis), they you can experiment with similar but different varieties to find out what is optimal for YOU. Where can I get good Medical Weed? You can get good weed at a great number of Cannabis Dispensaries, Cooperatives, Clubs and Delivery services.  You can get Marijuana delivered to your door that was grown in Barcelona, Spain, if that's what you fancy.  Check out if the Dispensary is a scam using the rules specified previously in this article.  If all looks good, equipped with your Doctor's Recommendation, trot off and check em out. Most dispensaries and the people are cool.  They're not really a crime hot spot at all.  Statistics say that a bank is eight times more likely to get robbed than a Marijuana depot.   If you don't like the management and characters you see milling about - be prepared to bail.    On your part, it is not such a good idea to go Weed shopping while stoned.  Dispensaries want to be good corporate citizens.  It's like at a bar, if you walk in stinking drunk, there is a chance you won't be served.  Along these lines, it is not a good idea to light up in the parking lot in or on the way out, needless to say?   Do behave in and around a Dispensary Assuming all is well, the process will be very simple.  Most dispensaries have (or should have) a budsman who can direct you in your selection.  Clients are advised not to use the words drugs when it comes to doing legal Marijuana business. Dispensaries don't want to be spoken to like an illegal drug dealer.  Drugs are a red flag word that law enforcement can pick up on in error.    You'll get along fine if you treat your visit to the dispensary like a visit to a pharmacy, except substitute the word drug with medicine.  Like a drug store, dispensaries don't normally offer discounts, and counseling beyond what it takes to get you the right medicine.  If you keep it short and sweet, to the point, you're likely to be considered a great customer.   How do I know if my information is safe?  You want to use a medical practitioner that follows patient-doctor confidentiality laws in California; both Telehealth and HIPAA.   If you get a Medical Marijuana Recommendation or ID Card over the internet, this falls under the rules and guidelines of Telehealth services established by the Medical Board of California.    You also want HIPAA compliance. Business entities that must comply are providers of Medical treatment, payment and operations in healthcare, business associates, or anyone else with access to the mentioned patient information.   "HIPAA, The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, is America's main standard for protecting sensitive patient data. Companies that deal in public health information (PHI) must ensure the integrity of privacy and security, personnel, processes, physical, network, and other measures are in place, documented and strictly followed." “After the first glass of absinthe you see things as you wish they were. After the second you see them as they are not. Finally you see things as they really are."  - Oscar Wilde saying what Joe Rogan said about Marijuana in so many words.   Cannabis cocktails are becoming all rage, but there is nothing new under the rainbow. A few centuries ago, a psychedelic alcoholic beverage called Absinthe was the intellectual's choice:    Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce, Charles Baudelaire, Paul Verlaine, Arthur Rimbaud, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Amedeo Modigliani, Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh, Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust, Aleister Crowley, Erik Satie, Edgar Allan Poe, Lord Byron and Alfred Jarry were all known absinthe drinkers.   OK, so what has Absinthe got to do with Cannabis cocktails?  Well, They are both psychoactive alcoholic beverages. Marijuana was falsely demonized and implicated in America's Reefer Madness Campaign of the 1950's, just as Absinthe was in Europe back in the day.   French authorities cracked down on Absinthe, declaring it poisonous due several deaths and cases where alcoholic consumers went insane.  The ingredient, a terpene called thujone was implicated as the psychoactive and toxic ingredient.  However, as modern scientists look into the case, the actual properties and Absinthe ingredients, could not be responsible for the toxicity reported.  It is believed that thujone (a terpene) was the toxic compound and this ingredient was unfortunately banned, via bad science and urban myth.   Ingredients in Medical Marijuana contain medicinal and psychoactive cannabinoids and also a lot of terpenes, which means your Cannabis cocktail creation might meet the approval of Absinthe drinker Hemingway or Oscar Wild Man Wilde   Before Medical Marijuana There Was Medicinal Whiskey The saga of Marijuana Law is America is truly strange.  While Alcohol was prohibited, Marijuana tinctures in ethanol (booze) were perfectly legal by prescription. Whiskey receipt photo credit Pictured above is a Whiskey "Cocktail" prescription, written by a doctor in 1924 for one pint of whiskey to be taken "as required."  Limits were 8 pints per month per head, meaning that mom and pop could be properly medicated throughout the month. Moderate alcohol intake of good quality booze has been found to be a good tonic for the heart and circulatory system.  THC and CBD found in Medical Marijuana have many wonderful properties; anti-anxiety, anti-cancer, faster healing of the bones and some research indicates Cannabinoids are even good for the skin.  Not to mention the incredible blissful effects that have inspired, perhaps, the majority of our most brilliant minds?     How to Make Cannabis-Infused Hard Liquor Whiskey, Vermouth, Vodka, Tequila, Rum, Gin (about 45% alcohol) 750mL   Cannabis, Strains High in THC, or CBD or an exotic hashish mix 4-8 grams   X-Factor (pepper corns and other natural terpenes) Cut and grind Bud Place on baking tray Heat for 1 hour at 250 deg F. Top 5 Cannabinoids - What are They? What do they Do?

Before we inspect the top 5 Cannabinoids in Marijuana, let's establish....  What exactly is a Cannabinoid, anyhow?  How do they work in the human body?   The term “cannabinoid” refers is a class of molecules that are found in the Cannabis plant.  To date there are currently more than one hundred known cannabinoids, with surely more yet to be discovered. Each cannabinoid varies slightly in chemical structure, shape and size.  In this article we focus on the five most important Cannabinoids used in medicine today.  Before we dive in, we will note that many researchers are finding that whole plant extracts containing a variety of Cannabinoids seem to provide the most benefits.    When you smoke, Vape, or ingest a Cannabis edible, the Cannabinoid ingredients are absorbed into the bloodstream and are transported to the entire body.    The two known types of cannabinoid receptors are called CB1 and CB2. Both are found throughout the body, but are most common in the brain and immune system. When cannabinoids activate CB1 or CB2 receptors, they change the way the body functions. CB1 receptors are responsible for marijuana's psychoactive effects.   Cannabinoid receptors, located in cells throughout the body, are part of the Endocannabinoid system which modulates physiological processes, including appetite, sensation, mood, immune system, circulatory system and memory and more. Cannabinoid receptors are activated by endocannabinoids produced naturally in the human body, plant cannabinoids (such as Marijuana's THC and CBD). and synthetic (artificially made) cannabinoids (HU-210).    Medicinally, if the body's own endocannabinoid system is not working properly, for whatever reason. There are two known types of cannabinoid receptors, but it looks like there may be more types.  CB1 type receptor is found mainly in the brain, central nervous system tissues, with lesser amounts in the lungs, liver and kidneys. The CB2 receptor is found in immune system cells. There is speculation that a third cannabinoid receptor may exist in blood vessels, lymph system and possibly other cell types.   Phytocannabinoid-Terpenoid Entourage Effect Cannabinoids and other compounds in Marijuana (such as Terpenes) interact and cause a different effect as compared to isolates.  For example, THC taken alone may cause paranoia side effects, however THC taken with peppercorns mitigates paranoid feelings.    "Pepper contains the terpenes myrcene, α-Pinene (alpha-pinene) and the terpenoid (a modified terpene) caryophyllene.  Pinene has been used for asthmatic patients as a bronchodilator, and, beta-caryophyllene which has been researched for help with arthritis, multiple sclerosis and HIV-associated dementia as well as treatment with anxiety and depression. In other words, the terpenoids found in pepper could help with the THC-induced symptoms felt from the phytocannabinoids found in marijuana." -  Ethan Russo in the British Journal of Medicine   photo credit   TOP 5 CANNABINOIDS #1  THC or Delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol This Cannabinoid is the psychoactive component that gives Marijuana its naughty reputation. THC is also well established by researchers worldwide to treat many conditions and symptoms with minimal side effects.   Psychological effects of THC are described as relaxing, euphoric, stress reducing, inspiring and cerebral.  Side effects include paranoia and anxiety attacks.  THC taken with CBD and other Cannabinoids seems to have a greater medicinal effect, while simultaneously lessening the incidence of psychosis.  Strains high in THC are commonly recommended by Physicians in California to treat: Stress Disorders Anorexia Neuropathic pain Multiple Sclerosis Parkinson’s Disease Migraine Cancer Crohn’s Disease Alzheimer’s Disease #2 CBD - Cannabidiol Recently, attention has shifted from THC to another compound in marijuana called CBD. There is a recent avalanche of research findings that point to CBD's outstanding efficacy in a wide variety of conditions and disease symptoms.  Using techniques of cross breeding, strains with 15% or more CBD with little THC have come onto the market.  As CBD is non -psychoactive, people can now be treated with a Cannabis medicine without getting high.  CBD Marijuana medicines are often recommended by Californian Physicians in the treatment of: Psychosis Anti Inflammatory AIDS Chronic Pain Diabetes Epilepsy Cancer Depression Anxiety Bipolar Disorder Bone disease, healing     #3 CBC - Cannabichromene CBC is generally the third most common cannabinoid in the marijuana strains.  In some strains, CBC may even be dominance to CBD. Just like CBD, cannabichromene is non-psychoactive.  CBC is effective on its own, but research indicate it works best with THC, CBD and / or other Cannabinoids.    Anti-Inflammatory (works better with some THC) Cancer Anti-Tumor Anti-Depressant Anti-Fungal Brain and nerve cell regeneration   CBN - Cannabinol This cannabinoid becomes more abundant in Marijuana over time.  As pot ages, some of the THCa converts into CBD. However, this process does not necessarily degrade the medicinal value of the Herb.  As an appetite stimulant, CBN was found to be superior to THC and CBD in animal studies. CBN is indicated for: Antibiotic ALS Anti-Asthmatic Sedative Glaucoma Appetite Stimulant Pain killer #5 CBG - Cannabigerol This cannabinoid forms early in the Cannabis plant growth cycle.  It is usually not very abundant and is non-psychoactive.  The Stoner's Cookbook is calling CBG the next big Cannabinoid.  Growers are looking a various Hemp varieties to extract CBG for medicinal use in quantity. CBG is especially an effective antimicrobial agent.  CBG is indicated for: Antibiotic Skin, Psoriasis Pain Reliever (more potent than THC) Anti-Tumor Antidepressant Tranquilizer Anti-Psychosis   420Evaluationsonline: If you would like to try a Marijuana strain or medicine containing the top 5 Cannabinoids listed here, you will most probably need a Medical Recommendation by a licensed medical marijuana doctor online. ACDC vs AK-47 - Which Strain is Better?

With AC/DC and AK-47,  we're definitely not talking about  half a dozen of one or six of the other.  It is really a question of different strokes for different folks.  What do you want and what do you need.  Before getting into the details, we'll disrobe the two "contestants" and see what the naked approximate facts are.   Google Stats: AK-47 STRAIN MARIJUANA WEED  About 255,000 results AC/DC STRAIN MARIJUANA WEED  About 27,100 results   Genetics: AK-47   Sativa-dominant hybrid - Colombian, Mexican, Thai, Afghani AC/DC  Sativa-dominant phenotype Cannatonic   Psychoactive AK-47   hell ya AC/DC  nope   Cost comparison AK-47  Gram:    $15      Ounce:$286 AC/DC: Gram    $16      Ounce: $300   THC AK-47   15-25% AC/DC   0.2-1.0 %   CBD AK-47   0.2% AC/DC  13-19%   Immediate Effects AK-47     You feel the music, inspiring, cerebral, appetite enhancer AC/DC    Pain and stress reducer, anxiety killer, general feeling of well being     WHAT ARE THE GENETICS - PROPERTIES - EFFECTS OF AC/DC AND AK-47? Pain Management for Migraines using Medical Marijuana

"Of the 121 people studied, 103 reported a decrease in monthly migraines by smoking Cannabis." - Clinical study   A review of the literature revealed that Medical Marijuana is not only a potential treatment for migraine and headache disorder, in many cases, it is an effective treatment.   European doctors treated nasty headache and migraine using Cannabis elixirs, extracts and ointments (neck rubs) for centuries.  Queen Victoria's physicians regular prescribed several types of Marijuana medicines to treat nasty PMS symptoms that included Migraine.  American doctors prescribed Medical Cannabis medicines for nearly two hundred years, up until the 1930's when it was banned.  US Pharmacopoeia of 1920 describes Marijuana for headaches among many other (especially women's) disorders. Medical Standards today require that a drug's efficacy (effectiveness) be proven before a drug can go on the market and be prescribed.  However, in some States, medical doctors can recommend Medical Marijuana to their patients, just like they did back in great grandma's day. In California, if you have a Migraine, you can go to a licensed doctor that knows about Marijuana and get a legal recommendation. Baron   How does Marijuana kill pain?  The molecules in Marijuana, called Cannabinoids modulate receptors in the body and brain that control pain and inflammation.  It turns out that there are ten times more "Marijuana (Cannabinoid)" receptors that opioid receptors (that respond to most pain killers).  This means that it is theoretically possible to make a new kind of Cannabis based drug that is customized to manipulate the plentiful receptors in the brain and body.   "Of the 121 people studied, 103 reported a decrease in monthly migraines, 15 reported the same number of migraines, and three people saw an increase in migraines. There was a substantial improvement for patients in their ability to function and feel better.” -  Professor Laura Borgelt   There are many kinds of cannabinoids, some psychoactive, some not, some strongly antibacterial, some work as pain killers and some not.  A variety of medicines are now available that take into account an individual's genetics.  For example, three basic Cannabis medicines are used now; High THC very potent psychoactive and medicinal Equal portions of CBD and THC which provide possible the best of both worlds, pleasant feelings with outstanding medicinal benefits H high CBD and low THC which provides outstanding medicinal effects without getting high   "According to a recent report of the Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research at the University of California, San Diego, confirm that it is effective in reducing muscle spasms and they examined the effectiveness of cannabis in treating migraine headaches and facial pain. In that study, rats given a cannabis-like drug exhibited reduced activity of nerve cells that transmit pain. Many patients find that marijuana is additionally useful in reducing stress that may be contributing to the headache, providing more effective relief than any  one pharmaceutical medicine." - Cannabis Medicine   420Evaluationsonline:  Migraine sufferers in California that want to try Medical Marijuana to treat their condition can apply here to get legal access.  Our 100 % online process only takes a few minutes to type in your info.  A licensed 420 physician evaluates your file soon after and emails you his recommendation.  You don't pay upfront, patients only pay when they are approved.  Click here to apply.  Our hours are 7 am to 11 pm every day. "Pot had the ability to slow down time, Orgasms seem to last for 30 seconds and are incredibly intense.“It makes me super-horny because I'm so relaxed. It's akin to vacation sex.” Elizabeth   So, does marijuana really boost libido?  The overwhelming consensus of many people self-taught experts, medical doctors and researchers is YES!  There is a minority of people disagree that though; Marijuana puts some of them to sleep or makes 'em paranoid.    "Smoke too much – or find a strain that's Indica-dominant – and you might find yourself too burnt out to f*ck."   We think further debate would be fruitless; If YOU and your partner think the orgasm/s was/were better, more sensual, faster, harder, taller, gruesomer, eclectic or awesome, isn't that all that matters?   According to a research study, about 75 percent of toking participants reported an increase in the duration and intensity in their sexual experiences.  As they say in Canada, Pot's great for Beaver hunting, and even better for Beaver cooking.   “The CB1 receptor in our nervous system cells that are activated by THC seems to be involved in improving tactile sensations and general OMG euphoria”  - Dr. Mitch Earleywine   Notable Marijuana Strains With Romantic Names Fucking Incredible Alaska Thunder Fuck Burmese Fucking Incredible Matanuska Thunder Fuck Goodbutt Afghan Bullrider Voodoo   "Do you want Thunder Fuck or Afghan Bullride - or both?"   What are the Sexiest Strains? Marijuana is NOT a Gateway Drug - Painkillers ARE - PART I

"The White House Office of National Drug Control Policy reports that  prescription drugs are second to Marijuana as the drug of choice for today's teens. BUT pharmaceutical drugs account for seven of the top ten drugs used by high school students."   Marijuana has been called a gateway drug, but by whom and for what purpose?  Forty or fifty years ago weed aficionados sometimes had no choice but  to deal with criminal elements to get their stash.  It turns out (in studies) that associating with people who have access and use hard drugs is the actual gateway to hell.   If the provider of Marijuana source is not associated with addictive drugs, DUH, there is no door to open.   As Pot became more popular, street Marijuana became disassociated with hard drugs.  In fact, in the super-hard-core Eastside of Vancouver, Canada, clinics have found Cannabis to be very effective in their withdrawal and anti-addiction programs for Crack and Heroin.    Do the Math - How to Afford a Beautiful House with a Beautiful Wife Now the Doctors and pharmacists can enter the stage.  Among the many good health professionals,  there is a also an epidemic of suspect activity; see celeb deaths for cases in point.   The public is generally not aware of the scope of the orthodox drug problem at some levels  Not widely known also is that 30-50% of Pharmaceutical sales cater to drug misuse and abuse.  Physicians often get a cut of each prescription, which are too often written for a fake "chronic" condition.  It takes a minute or less to rubber stamp a prescription.  Do the math, and you'll see how to afford a beautiful house with a beautiful wife. "Drug Abuse Among Doctors: Easy, Tempting, and Not Uncommon"  Medical Report on Medical Doctors Abuse is enlightening.  Prescription Drug Fraud and Misuse.  This report goes into outright fraud by pharmacists and Doctors, however, that's the tip of the iceberg, most of the fraud is of the quasi-legal variety, where the patient claims a really back ache or something and the Doctor turns a blind eye to the BS, allowing the patient maximum access to Meds.      “Prison is the biggest business in America,” he says. “[If] you got the money, you can build a prison out in Nevada and it’ll be filled before you finish building it. That’s a fact, and that’s a shame.”  Merle Haggard   Marijuana is a Gateway AWAY from Hard Drugs Since MMJ legalization in many parts of the country, Marijuana has proven to be anything but a gateway drug. To the contrary, a lot of research indicates that criminalization and prohibition are factors that lead to hard drug use.  Ironically,  prescription drugs have proven to be a much bigger step down the slippery slope.  Overall, death totals from prescription drugs are greater than all illegal drugs, murder and automobile accident deaths combined.  The deaths of some of our most cherished celebrities, Elvis, Michael Jackson, Prince, Marilyn Monroe have proven to come at the hands of prescription drugs.  In all of these cases, the gateway to drugs was their Doctor and pharmacist, not Marijuana.   Meanwhile, Cannabis is never, ever associated with homicide or death in the headlines.    The Epidemic that is;  The Prescription Drug Problem Death by medicine is epidemic.  It is not so much that the "War on Drugs" was wrong, it was directed at the wrong foe.  It's the enemy within. Prescription drugs now kill many more people than illegal drugs.  While other causes of death are generally declining, the Center for Drug Control stated that: more people were killed by pharmaceutical drugs than vehicle accidents 40,000 thousand overdose deaths per annum from prescription drugs; rate of drug-death doubled and tripled / in teens and elderly / over the past 10 years. HORRIFYING drug-fatalities are not driven by street drugs, rather are driven by pharmaceuticals OxyContin, Vicodin, Xanax and Soma kill more than heroin and cocaine combine of 62 million death certificates, almost a quarter-million deaths were coded as having occurred in a hospital setting due to medication errors. An estimated 450,000 preventable medication-related adverse events occur in the U.S. every year. adverse drug reactions estimated costs to US society are $136 billion annually   In comparison MMJ deaths by overdose are as rare as hen's teeth. MMJ Strains high in THC can cause some scary side effects include anxiety and paranoia in some vulnerable individuals. However, these undesirable side effects don't lead to self-harm, but rather the opposite, the paranoia focuses on self-preservation.  Now there are low-THC Marijuana medicines that are every bit as effective in many conditions.  New strains have been bred to contain high quantities of a non-psychoactive compound called Cannabidiol (CBD) which show even greater medicinal potential that it's famous THC cousin. This is why Medical Marijuana's future is so promising.  It doesn't kill you while it helps you.  You're not on a highway to hell. Consider these cases in point as in point blank; how these most famous celebrities sadly lost their lives as a direct result of pharmaceutical drug abuse.   420EvaluationsOnline Notes:  You can get access to Medical Cannabis today here. Presidential Candidates 2016 on Marijuana - The Rest of the Story

In our Presidential Candidate's poll, Bernie Sanders came out on top, just a fraction ahead of Paul Rand and Donald Trump.  Is it any coincidence - that two of our top three place finishers in our Medical Marijuana Candidate Contest - made it to the final round for the nomination?   The reality is, even if you believe their promises - to date, not ONE of the candidates has demonstrated significant effectiveness at the Federal level for the cause of Medical /  Recreational Marijuana.   It would appear that losing candidates with their anti-Marijuana stance, contributed  in-part to the idea that these candidates were out of step with the times, out of step with reality outside their stately offices .   Maybe it is no coincidence that the "stale-old fogie" rhetoric of Bush, Huckabee, Carson - on MMJ and across the board - caused voters to throw them in the ditch so quickly.  With almost all the candidates, it's  the new boss is the same as the old boss, all over again, with the only exception being enigmatic Donald Trump.  You might want to add Sanders to the list, but he's a career politician through and through - never had a real job beyond schmoozing.  Certainly Rand Paul is different, but it is not his time nor place to rock the world. The logic used in assessing friends and foes of Marijuana is simple and adheres basic principles of business success - in the real world.  Sorry, but the Federal government almost singularly created the problems for Marijuana and Hemp.  It is special interest factions of the Federal government that continue to fight, - tooth and nail - against common sense and the will of the populace, not only in America but at the UN level. The UN is still dodging and debating around the reality; their Marijuana and Drug policy has failed brutally over the decades, as demonstrated by global crime and drug statistics showing a continual mind-boggling deterioration over that past 30 years.    Trump, Sanders, and Paul's Common MMJ policy that make them the Bomb. Medical Marijuana should be legal across the country  for legit cases. I'm not necessarily in favor of recreational use, but let the individual States decide as it is their right specified in the constitution. Legalization of drugs will cut the legs off these creatin drug dealers and wipe them out, Billions of $ in Tax revenues from MMJ can be used to pay for drug rehab and health care.    If you want change, same old - same old is not the way to go. Common adjectives to describe politicians might include; song and dance man, sociopath, salesman, narcissist, establishment whore.  Probably the most damning adjective of the lot should be - career politician.  What career politician was ever thought of as a great President?  America's greatest Presidents; Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Kennedy, Roosevelt  all brought a lifetime of experience and skills to office - as compared many of today's candidates - equipped only with ass kissing degrees. Pile it higher and deeper. As we analyze the data, literally every candidate eventually said something favorable toward the legalization of Marijuana.  You have to wonder about politicians that do a full 180 on their "unwavering stand".  All said and done, there is no one on the list that has done much for the cause of Marijuana.  Maybe "new blood" in Sanders and Trump will positively change Fed Policies to end the total disaster that is the War on Drugs.  We'll see.   420EvaluationsOnline Notes: We specialize in online Marijuana Consultations, Recommendations, Cannabis Identification Cards.  Clients can be approved to use MMJ in minutes and the process is completed 100% online.  We comply with the California Medical Board of California guidelines for Telehealth services and all laws that relate to our services.   And Now ......  The Rest of the Story;......2016 Presidential Candidates on Marijuana - Friend or Foe.   Marco Rubio Presidential Marijuana Score: + 7 Ever smoke Marijuana? “If I tell you that I haven’t, you won’t believe me."   Score Integrity zero Acumen ** Marijuana IQ  zero Supports legalization of recreational Marijuana use zero Supports legalization of Medical Cannabis ** Supports Constitution, each State should decide on Medical Marijuana zero Considers the Recreational use of Marijuana to be a minor offence * Has tried Marijuana * Against the War on Drugs, Marijuana *   Funding Individual Contributions                                   $38,872,295    (90%)  - Small Individual Contributions                     $30,254,288    (70%)  - Large Individual Contributions                     $9,646,258      (22%)  - Candidate self-financing                             $0                    (0%)   Rubio in a Nutshell In his rhetoric, Rubio equates Recreational Marijuana to alcohol, while the consensus opinion of users, law enforcement and scientists is that there is no comparison between the two.  Gem Ruby says that the nation pays a terrible price for alcohol abuse and Marijuana legalization would mean double trouble.  Of course Rubio never brought up any statistical evidence for his claim.  Regarding Medical Marijuana he has no opinion that demonstrates acumen..  The best he offers is that - if the FDA calls it a medicine (MMJ) he'd go along with that.  Rubio believes that it is OK for the Federal Government to infringe on an individual state's right to make their Marijuana laws.  While his score is not the worst, he's useless to the MMJ cause.   On the Issue Medical Marijuana could be OK, but not recreational use. (Aug 2015) No responsible way to recreationally use Marijuana. (May 2015) Legalizing would be a mistake; reduce sentences carefully. (Apr 2015) There is no responsible way to recreationally use Marijuana. (May 2014) Enforce Federal laws even where states have legalized pot. Jeb Bush has proven beyond a reasonable doubt  - he's a foe of Marijuana.   On the Issue Opposed medical Marijuana on Florida ballot question. Paul has been outspoken on Marijuana, supporting legalization and decriminalization "forever'. This is one guy we believe.  Rand Paul says, the reality is that we all make mistakes, young people make mistakes.  Archaic laws that can bring a lifetime criminal record to a youth possessing a small amount of a mild-drug is in no one's interest; not the police, not the country, not the family, not the community. "The people who are going to jail for this (MMJ) are poor people, often African Americans and often Hispanics, and yet the rich kids who use drugs aren’t." Paul joined with other Marijuana friendly Senators to introduce a historic bipartisan bill that proposed to end the Federal ban on medical Marijuana.  Patients, doctors and businesses can participate in legalized state programs without fear of Federal prosecution.” Paul also supported the Marijuana Industry by proposing that MMJ businessmen be allowed to regular banking services under the Marijuana Businesses Access to Banking Act of 2015 in the Senate.   On the Issue More rehabilitation and less incarceration. Carson's positive score is attributed to our positive impression of him as a human being, at least above average in the political arena.  However, his track record reflects ancient non-workable attitudes and knowledge set - like the war on drugs. In other words, Carson is extinct, a dinosaur.  Still he supports Medical Marijuana and seems uphold state rights to create their own MMJ legislation - plus he's small business funded.   On the Issue Change national narrative so fewer die from drugs. (Nov 2015) Exposure to Marijuana results in decreased IQ. (Oct 2015) Intensify the War on Drugs at Federal level. (Oct 2015) Maybe medical Marijuana, but recreational use is a gateway. Then again, he's done a 180 and said he would stomp on Colorado's rights and make Marijuana completely illegal in any form.   The read: a politician who cannot be trusted. Superficially,  Christie's Marijuana policies resemble Donald Trump's.   But Trump scored very well while Christie was abysmal.  So what's the difference? OK, Christie's statements lack traction.  He's without MMJ deliverables given ample opportunity; he's spent most of his career around big-time litigation, lobbying and the Federal government  Christie also appears to know virtually nothing of substance about Marijuana, hence his brutal score.  Despite his deep background in law, Christie appears to not respect the Constitution and would-if-he-could STOMP on legislators from Colorado that legalized Marijuana.   Christie will likely reappear as a hired hand for a powerful politician, where he'll probably do what he's told. "If you're getting high in Colorado today, enjoy it, As of January 2017, I will enforce the Federal laws."  -- Anti-constitutional dreamer Christie   On the Issue Treatment, not jail, for drug addicts; it's a disease. I don't support legalized Marijuana for a whole host of reasons, including the fact that this is a very complex chemical substance, When we tell young people it is just like drinking a beer, we are not telling them the truth," I think Colorado voters made a choice, I don't support their choice, but I do support their right to make that choice."   Gov. Call Huckster's about face, personal growth then,  hah!  Then Bee says drug education does no work - but later says we need to change people's attitudes, say what?  How about this gem of wisdom from Huckster - the DEA should decide if  AIDS patients should go to jail - or not - for using Medical Marijuana.  Enough said,  Huckabee's outta here.   On the Issue Drug courts reduce both cost & recidivism. "We couldn't find a single malpractice case relating to Medical Marijuana"  -- Medscape This article is a guide for California Doctors and Caregivers seriously considering the professional use of Medical Marijuana. At the heart of the matter is a lack of quality knowledge.  Some doctors just don't know about the science and practitioner's issues related to Medical Marijuana. "A local physician had suggested to a young woman undergoing Chemo; that Marijuana might be quite helpful.  However, the physician in question did not write a legal recommendation. At first, he said he would, but said he had to learn how to go about it. After a month, the doctor hesitated, even though he knew it was probably a good medicine, he wasn't sure how to provide legal coverage and cover liability issues."  -- MMJ  Patient Testimonial (paraphrase)   Good Science - Clinical Studies - MD Reports -  Patient Testimonials There are more than 28,000 peer reviewed studies, clinical trials and reports by your colleagues that discuss the efficacy of Cannabis based drugs. The endocannabinoid system is the major regulatory mechanism of both the immune system and nervous systems in humans. Cannabinoids found in Medical Marijuana can modulate endocannabinoid receptors to effectively balance and help restore normal function, thereby treating symptoms and conditions. Cannabinoids demonstrate neuroprotective, antioxidant and antimicrobial activity among other benefits. The consensus opinion of experienced patients and doctors - Medical Marijuana works very well. Medical Marijuana has been found to be particularly effective to treat fragile people; cancer and HIV patients, elderly.   Medical Marijuana - Issues that Doctors Worry About I am comfortable with prescribing orthodox medicines - but not Marijuana. You need to consider that in the State of California there are 86,000 licensed Medical Marijuana patients, all Recommended by licensed Doctors. Not one has ever been sued for malpractice. Compare that statistic with Medical malpractice claims in other areas.  MMJ is extremely safe for not only patients, but for doctors too!   I really don't believe in organic medicines, especially Cannabis, I trust pharmaceuticals. We suggest that you read this article to become better informed and then reappraise the situation.   If I Recommend Marijuana, will my patients still trust me? Some patients will wonder about a doctor that mentions Marijuana, however, in our experience, far more patients trust a doctor that is liberal and in step with the times. It is now politically incorrect in many parts of the country to frown upon Medical Marijuana.   I don't know what's in MMJ. This is a valid point.  However, the reality is that we don't know that much about most of the food and drink we consume in any case.  The bottom line, the consensus opinion of researchers is that  Marijuana is very safe, despite the non-standardization.   The Cannabis plant is not regulated by the FDA. and might contains toxic impurities and contaminants. FDA regulation could work in theory, but there is a lot of discussion regarding the need to restructure that group - to sort out  their accumulating imperfections..  Meanwhile, there certainly could be an improvement in industrial testing - by accurately quantifying active ingredients.  However, some Medical Marijuana groups do currently perform world-class  testing on their Cannabis-based Medicines - using mass spectrometry and other sophisticated test methods.  The trend is positive toward, quality.   I don't like patients controlling the dose. This is a good point. Of course, feedback from the patient about dose-effect is something every doctor should consider for all medications.  Unfortunately, many doctors don't always get the feedback they ideally need and some patients don't take medications as they should.  So, there are issues in orthodox dosing and often the situation does not approximate perfection.    Overdosing using Medical Marijuana has minimal hazards.  Secondly, if a patient is aware that dosing amount and frequency and is a big issue, they'll take better notice of makes them feel best - what works well.  At the end of the day, patients assume all liability in taking the medicine and the simple old school approach works for experienced practitioners and patients.   There is more money in pharmaceutical drugs. This statement is counter to affordable solutions like MMJ and is obviously not in the best interests and well being of patients.   We don't have any formal education in Cannabinoid / Endocannabinoid Science. This can be mitigated by piggy backing on the learnings of experienced doctors.  See further reading section for a primer.   Medical Marijuana is not standardized and patient dose / usage is impossible to control with any degree of certainty. We think Doctors should encourage patients to use a supplier that can produce a current certificate of analysis; Cannabinoid profile (THC, CBD,) other constituents like terpenes and prove that the composition of active ingredients and show the Cannabis medicine is free of pesticides and herbicides. We can't Recommend growers that do not test  their Marijuana regularly.  We also think that until the FDA is restructured, as some presidential candidates advocate, the MMJ industry will likely to continue to progress through self-regulation.  The industry, while growing organically, is surprising sophistication.   Prescribing MMJ will lower the public's perception of my status. Medical Marijuana is becoming politically correct, damping concerns for many.   I  don't want to be associated with unsavory, seedy characters. Physicians and Medical practices that Recommend Medical Marijuana need only document that they do not encourage illegal activity and are not involved in the process of purchasing and acquiring Cannabis.    I would much rather give a prescription for a medicine I understand. On the surface, this statement makes sense, but it's really and poor excuse. Continuous education is the responsibility of good health care professionals.  If Medical Marijuana is legal in your precinct, then it is an obligation, really, to research the efficacy of a medicine that might help your patients.   I am worried about side effects.  Patients should sign a waiver assuming full responsibility relating to their MMJ use.  Marijuana has side effects, especially the over 20+% THC varieties.  Cannabis over consumption may affect coordination / cognition that impairs motor skills.  Temporary psychosis can be an issue, but fortunately it's of the seldom self-harming.  New non-psychoactive Cannabis Medicines provide a viable safe alternative.    I prefer to prescribe drugs that I can control instead of supporting the use of a street drug. Doctors need to decide if Medical Marijuana can help their patients or if personal control is the most important issue.  Patients should assume full responsibility - in writing - of events that happen as a result of being given a Medical Marijuana Recommendation.    I am worried about liability issues. Just get patients to sign a waiver (see below).  Malpractice is literally a non-issue.   Medscape - Malpractice Risks of Medical Marijuana "We couldn't find a single malpractice case relating to Medical Marijuana. Legal experts say it's difficult to see how such a lawsuit would be successful, assuming that a patient who asked for a Recommendation and received one would even want to sue."   Mark Crane - Medscape Business of Medicine   Physician's Issues - Cannabis Consultation & Recommendations What's in Medical Cannabis? What is the content of THC, CBD and other medicinal compounds in different strains? People that enjoy Marijuana can usually handle any strain. with worst case scenario being - if they smoke too much hi-grade pot, they'll be glued to the couch for the evening and nothing more.  Overconsumption by THC hyper-responders on the other hand- will cause some to freak out as they say.  Moderate doses of THC:CBD on the other hand, are palatable most patients. Generally speaking, this is an issue.  Often there is a lab test report of the strain's composition or Cannabinoid profile.  Lab data for a strain can be either accurate or approximate - as potency and character can vary from grower to grower, crop to crop.  Ideally, every harvest should be tested.   What about synthetic Marijuana?  Standardized pharmaceutical Marijuana formulations typically have one singular active ingredient, such as THC.  The consensus opinion of bona-fide researchers is that THC alone, whether synthetic or organic, does not work as well as whole plant extracts. Patients generally do much better with balanced strains and medicines containing balanced amounts of CBD:THC where the tendency for some patients to experience side effects such as paranoia is greatly reduced.     What is the correct dose? Optimizing the dosage is tricky business in any case.  If a doctor reflects on what dose is best - for any medicine - there are many factors to consider, such as race, sex, age and genetically-individual tolerance.   In the case of MMJ, the effective dose must be left to each individual patient to find, and this makes some physicians uncomfortable. At any rate, people should know that a dose of tens of mg of Cannabinoids can be clinically effective, while hundreds of mg actually made symptoms worse.    A Veteran Physician in the Field of Cannabis Therapeutics Shares Findings and Advice with other Doctors. "The effective dose must be left to each individual patient to find, and this makes some physicians uncomfortable." "Most patients are already using Cannabis at the time they present for a Cannabis approval."  "A patient who also happened to be a police officer, stopped to talk before leaving the office and said - would you please start writing more Recommendations for Medical Marijuana? I find pot in people’s possession and I ask them for their Recommendation, and if they don’t have one I have to take them in. I don’t want to waste our time anymore. Please do your part to help. That was the day I decided to add Medical Cannabis Recommendations to my full scope family practice."   Stacey Kerr, MD, Santa Rosa, CA SUMMARY Get educated about Cannabinoids - see PubMed and Further Reading (below) Create informed Consent & Recommendation forms for your practice Talk to your patients & document your discussions / findings   420EvaluationsOnline Notes: We provide MMJ Evaluations, Recommendations, Medical Marijuana ID cards, Cannabis Consultations, 24/7 validation and more.
