GREAT CALIFORNIA WEED FAMINE - MEDICAL PATIENTS FIRST

You Better Have Medical Marijuana Card if you want weed over the next six months or so.

Like mega-millionaire Joe Rogan said, "better get your medical marijuana card, son."  A medical marijuana card has never been more valuable. As of July 1, 2018, legal weed is starting to become scarce.  The reason is that all weed needs to be tested for potency and toxicity and many of the suppliers have yet to set up properly to get their cannabis products approved.  Also, testing labs in many cases don't have the proper equipment that complies with the new testing standards.

“If voting made any difference they wouldn’t let us do it.” – Mark Twain

Over the past month or so, the non-compliant weed was sold off at bargain basement prices, and now it looks like the price of legal weed will skyrocket, due to a temporary supply and demand anomaly.

So, for the next six months to a year, weed will be in short supply in many places and many dispensaries will be setting aside weed for medical patients, epileptics, veterans, elderly, cancer patients, AIDS patients, of course will be first in line, or should be.

A medical marijuana card allows for the tax exempt purchase of cannabis in California.

In addition, medical patients pay about half the tax (which is up to 40% all in) compared to recreational users.  Plus a medical marijuana recommendation from a licensed Californian physician allows for the purchase of the strongest strains and concentrates, no banned to recreational users.  Plus, plus, medical patients can grow up to 24 plants, provided their conditions and symptoms warrant the consumption of that much weed.

“What has allowed so many psychopathic personalities to rise so high in corporations, and now in government, is that they are so decisive. They are going to do something every fuckin’ day and they are not afraid. Unlike normal people, they are never filled with doubts, for the simple reasons that they don’t give a fuck what happens next. Mobilize the reserves! Privatize the public schools! Attack Iraq! Cut health care! Tap everybody’s telephone! Fuck habeas corpus and the Sierra Club and In These Times, and kiss my ass! There is a tragic flaw in our precious Constitution, and I don’t know what can be done to fix it. This is it: Only nutcases want to be president.” – Kurt Vonnegut

The process of getting a medical marijuana card, very fortunately, is one of the easiest things you can do under the new laws.  Telemedicine is a process that is approved by the California medical board, where routine medical matters can be completed - doctor or nurse to patient - via the internet.  The online recommendation for cannabis in California process takes only a few minutes to apply and usually your e-record is sent to your inbox the same day, and probably within the hour.  The plastic medical cannabis card ID comes in the mail a few days.

New Regulations Mean Empty Shelves at California's Marijuana ...

Some marijuana dispensaries are struggling to serve their customers after state testing regulations kicked in on July 1. That’s when all cannabis products were required to be tested for pesticides and molds. The lack of testing facilities has caused a shortage. New child-proof packaging and other requirements are adding to the unavailability of cannabis products.

Some dispensaries have stock up on tested cannabis products before the deadline and can continue to serve customers. Organically grown cannabis without pesticides is in high demand by distributors.  The supply is slowly growing as tested cannabis products make their way through the supply chain but there are fewer than 20 labs in the state equipped to perform the required tests, and dispensaries won't be stocked with preferred medical and recreational marijuana for customers until sometime in 2019

"Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders want to raise taxes on the rich, saying it will solve inequality. It won't. All that will do is significantly reduce incentives to work, save, and invest. But I say inequality is not the problem. The problem is a lack of growth."  say's Lawrence Kudlow, wet behind and between the ears. Clinton runs her millions to billions through a fake tax free charity. Bernie is a good "tax planner" as well.

California Grapples With Pot Shortage | California Marijuana Policy

California Rich get Medical Marijuana Cards

WHY JOE ROGAN RENEWS HIS MEDICAL MARIJUANA CARD - 2018

California Grapples With Pot Shortage as it was predicted that cannabis patrons across California find rows upon rows of empty shelves in their local dispensaries. The dearth of cannabis is a result of new regulations that took effect July 1 2018 requires lab testing of all marijuana products with strict new packaging and labeling requirements. Any marijuana that doesn't meet the new rules must be destroyed.

Regulators say the problem will fix itself as more licensed laboratories open their doors and speed up processing. Retailers are worried customers will return to the black market and never return, given the high tax rate of 40% on top of the recent hastles..

The industry is looking at losses of about $400 million as a result of the new regs, which have shops trashing non-compliant weed

California pot shops hustled to sell non-compliant cannabis before July 1, then ...California's testing, packaging and ingredient standards are in short supply.

"To say that people would cease to come to California if they would have to pay more taxes is to underestimate the advantages of being in California - mightily." - The very dated Warren Beatty

They could not keep them on the shelf.  Nicholas Hughes sold a cannabis treat, fit for a king, a chocolate cookie called the Elvis, infused with 1,000 mg of THC – 100 times the allowable per-serving dosage limit in California. Hughes' dispensary had to part ways with the edible, one of hundreds or thousands of cannabis products that can't be sold since the new testing, packaging and dosing standards were put in place on July 1.   Now, the Elvis cookie has to be cut up into 100 pieces!

Marijuana companies in California had a six-months to sell weed harvested or processed before the deadline of July 1, causing retailers to hustle and sell old cannabis at fire sale prices, with the remainder dumped in the trash. Now, with a shortage of compliant product and testing facilities, dispensaries will be in short supply for some time.  They probably have a quarter of what they usually have according to Hughes

California Cannabis in Crisis - Weed - The Stranger

California activated its rec adult-use marijuana program on Jan 1, 2018, some people thought it was going to be peachy keen great.  Those that know anything about government, knew that things would get screwed up however. And it did. Gigantic taxes, mountains of red tape and regulations, and gross inefficiencies.

“Democracy must be something more than two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.” – James Bovard

Of course we don't need much government once we have power, a road, internet, our communities can just hire our own doctors and law enforcement and take care of ourselves.  But the paradigm is that we're under the thumb of big bloated outdated parasitic government. The head of the government parasite is big-corp. The public is sold the bill of goods, we'll protect you, and make everyone test their weed, and save the day.  We'll protect your children by making the containers child proof.

“That government is best which governs not at all; and when men are prepared for it, that will be the kind of government which they will have.” – Henry David Thoreau

The reality is that the cost of testing and regulations will force the small guy out, and set the table for monsanto like corporations to come in and take over the industry.  The government parasites now take 40% in tax, so the industry (legal) is 40% taken over right there. Then for medical they'll get real strict and pricy, and roll out synthetics - to "save you money", and patentables that provide 10 to 100 times more effect over regular cannabis.

Perhaps your community will be able to purchase some kind of frankenstein type of THC, that can kill you deader than a doornail in higher doses, like synthetic fentanyl.  Lovely pharmaceutical fentanyl saved the day, didn't it? Yes, your government will protect you, let them run the show.

"Golden State has been faring with its recreational rollout. Surely state regulators had closely examined the foibles and follies of other states that had embarked on similar legalization plans, which would allow them to make wise policy choices?"

California Marijuana Taxes Way Too High

Democratic socialism means, that in a democratic, civilized society, the wealthiest people and the largest corporations must pay their fair share of taxes, a quote by civilized "socialist" Bernie Sanders, Audi owner, income over $1 million, tax avoider, million dollar vacation property holder.
